Monument Business Alliance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Monument Business Alliance (“MBA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) website, membership participation, and attendance at any MBA meetings or events.
By accessing this website, submitting an application, paying membership dues, or attending an MBA meeting or event, you agree to these Terms.
1. Organizational Purpose
Monument Business Alliance is an industry-exclusive, board-approved professional alliance serving Monument, Tri-Lakes, and Northern Colorado Springs.
MBA facilitates structured referral relationships and professional collaboration. MBA does not act as an agent, broker, guarantor, or representative of its members’ businesses.
2. Membership Structure
Membership is:
- Industry-exclusive (one member per industry)
- Subject to Board review and approval
- Conditional upon adherence to attendance and participation standards
- Subject to annual dues
MBA reserves the right to approve, deny, suspend, or revoke membership at its discretion to protect the integrity of the Alliance.
3. Fees and Payment
Annual membership dues are $100 per year unless otherwise determined by the Board.
All payments are:
- Final
- Non-refundable
- Non-transferable
No refunds will be issued for any reason, including resignation, removal, non-attendance, scheduling conflicts, or dissatisfaction.
4. Membership Cancellation
Members may cancel their membership at any time by providing written notice to the Board.
Cancellation becomes effective on:
- The later of the date specified in the notice; or
- Immediately if no future date is specified.
Dues are not prorated.
5. Website Use
You agree to use the MBA website only for lawful purposes.
You may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website
- Interfere with website functionality
- Copy, distribute, or reproduce website content without permission
- Use the site in a way that damages MBA’s reputation
All website content is owned by Monument Business Alliance unless otherwise stated.
6. No Guarantee of Results
MBA facilitates professional relationships and referral exchange. However:
- MBA does not guarantee referrals
- MBA does not guarantee business outcomes
- MBA does not guarantee revenue or financial results
- MBA does not endorse or warrant the services of any member
All business transactions and relationships occur solely between the parties involved.
7. Assumption of Risk
Participation in MBA meetings, events, or activities is voluntary.
Attendees assume all risks associated with attendance, including but not limited to:
- Personal injury
- Property damage
- Loss of personal belongings
- Business or financial loss
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Monument Business Alliance, its Board members, members, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of:
- Website use
- Membership participation
- Meeting attendance
- Referral relationships
- Business transactions between members
MBA’s total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount of membership dues paid within the preceding 12 months.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Monument Business Alliance, its Board members, members, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the website
- Your attendance at meetings or events
- Your conduct as a member or visitor
- Any business dealings or referral relationships
- Any violation of these Terms
10. Member Conduct
Members and visitors are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism and integrity.
MBA reserves the right to remove individuals from meetings or revoke membership for conduct that:
- Violates ethical standards
- Disrupts meetings
- Harms the reputation of the Alliance
- Conflicts with the industry-exclusive structure
11. Third-Party Links
The website may include links to third-party websites. MBA is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those sites.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado.
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in El Paso County, Colorado.
13. Changes to Terms
MBA reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website or participation in MBA activities constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
